Every device collected through SellYourDevice is insured for its full quoted value during transit. If anything happens to your device while in the courier's care, you receive your full quoted payment — no questions asked.

Encrypted Data Handling

All communication between your browser and our servers uses TLS 1.3 encryption. Your banking details are transmitted over encrypted channels and never stored on our servers beyond the payment window. We comply with POPIA and ECTA.

Price Guaranteed for 5 Days

The price we quote is the price you receive — provided the device condition matches your description. We never reduce your offer after collection without sending you a written revised offer that you can accept or decline.

Free Return if You Change Your Mind

If we send you a revised offer and you don't like it — or if you simply change your mind before we accept the device — we return it to you fully insured within 5 working days.

Data Wiped Before Resale

Every device is factory reset and data-wiped according to DoD 5220.22-M standard before it enters our resale pipeline. We never access personal data on received devices. Your photos, messages, and accounts are deleted, not read.

Stolen Device Policy

We verify every device against South African IMEI blacklists before payment. If a device is flagged as stolen, we cooperate fully with SAPS. Selling a stolen device is a criminal offence — we take this seriously.
